GA-X79-UD3 Rev 1.1 no bios access and black screen

GA-X79-UD3 Rev 1.1 no bios access and black screen
« on: July 29, 2017, 03:30:43 pm »
Hello,
When I start the PC I see the BIOS screen but have no access to it. (DEL, F9, END... don't work)
Also the BIOS screen is smaller then normal. I hear 1 short beep and after a while another short beep and a black screen with a blinking cursor @ the left upper corner.
I took all hardware off so the only things that are connected are the CPU, Memory, VGA-card and a keyboard.

I think the problem is the mobo or CPU.
Can anyone help me so i be sure what to replace?
Thanks

Greetings,
Were any changes made that preceded this behavior?

Try testing the system with another GPU

Power issues, did the system experience a power related surge or fluctuation you are aware of?  Do you have another PSU you can test with?

If testing with another PSU and GPU doesn't help, try invoking boot from the back up BIOS. Or try using the xPress BIOS rescue feature on the board.

hello
Things i tried so far:

Replaced memory 1 by 1, no results
Replaced PSU and GPU, no changes
Tried the xPress BIOS rescue feature while holding ALT+F12 on boot, no results
Turned on the PC and hold the powerbutton until PC turned off then turn on again, no results.

Anybody else knows what i can do now?

Are you using a wired keyboard?

usb or PS/2?

Try a battery pull.  Disconnect power from board, pull battery, press and hold power button for 20 sec.  Replace battery, reconnect power, retest.

Can also try reseating everything.

You're running out of options, given the number of components you have replaced during troubleshooting.
