Hello,

I found your forums buried in the help pages of this particular motherboard.  I've looked through the mobo manual and can't find the info I was looking for which is what brings me here!

This board is compatible with the Gigabyte Alpine Ridge Thunderbolt 3 add in card.  I've located the 5 pin header on the motherboard.

There are 4 PCI-e 3 slots on the motherboard 2 of which are @ x 16 and 2 of which are @ x8 - Some conditions of use are explained in the manual so no point going over these here.

Which PCI-e slot can be used with the TH 3 add in card? - I know a x 4 speed is required so logically would assume one of the 2 PCI-e 3 @ 8 slots would be used - But is there a particular "one" that has got to be used?

Or could either of the x 8 slots be used? - Thanks in advance

Is it possible to get thunderbolt use direct from the USB-c connector like it is on the Designare X99? - On X99 Ultra Gaming I know it is only 20 GB/S or thunderbolt 2 equivalent speed - But which PCI-e slots can be used? - thanks
