Mic sound really low on Z170X Gaming G7
« on: November 24, 2017, 04:09:11 pm »
Hi, I recently bought a motherboard Z170X gaming g7 to replace my z170 pro gaming.
The problem is that every time a turn my computer on, the sound level of my mic is really low and I have to go on the Sound Blaster software to change the volume, noise reduction and others and suddenly my mic works well.
It is kinda borring doing this every time...
My headset is a Sennheiser Game One.
By the way, I used a sound card on the Asus z170 pro gaming with Sound Blaster software. I put it on the gigayte MB then.
Windows recognized the sound card but coun'd have any sound on my headset...
I hope someone can help me :)

Greetings,
Try this:

Control Panel > Sound Option, Recording Tab.

Ensure only the device you have the MIC connected to is set as default.

Green checkmark = enabled

Red down arrow = disabled

You may have more than one device to choose from, so be sure only the one device is enabled.

Hope that helps.
