Hello,
Here are the specs
G41M-ES2h - onboard RTL8110SC
Intel E1600
2 GB RAM ( 2 Sticks PC 8500 )
Thermaltake 430 W PSU
2 x Seagate 1.5 TB HDD's
I am using it as a file server in my basement. Connected to a D-link 8 ports switch ( gigabit )
I am having difficulty understanding the speeds of the Gigabit network card o this Mobo.
When my other PC's copy files over the network to this PC, the PC handles 95-98 MB/S incomming speeds. .. If I try & copy the same file back to the same PC, the server only sends out the file at exactly 37 Megabytes/s.
Its really strange. I would have figured if the PC can take incoming speeds at roughyl 95-98MB/s , it should then be able to send at the same speeds. I have tried connecting the PC directly to my Linksys Gigabit Router, & had the same results . All my other 3 PC's on my network can send/receive at 98 MB/S ++ .
I have tried Win Server 2008, & 2008 R2 , & same behaviour.
I have tried upating the driver from Gigabytes website & from realtek's website.
Any ideas?
