Any AMD Phenom II approved RAM should work on your mobo. The link below shows two Corsair part numbers specifically tested and confirmed compatible on the GA-870A-UD3. Mobo Rev. updates are usually to resolve design issues. All of the mobos of that series typically use the same chipsets and should use the same memory modules if properly built.

The CMX4GX3M2A1600C7 is not AMD approved. It is approved for the Intel i5/i7 systems. You would be better to pick RAM that has been confirmed to work on AMD Phenom II systems.

yes 1600 cl7 ram runs nicely in this board with a little tweak
go into bios then MIT then manual system voltaeg control
make sure ram is set to its recommended voltage ie 1.65v
then adjust CPU NB VID Control up by 0.2v should get 1.3v
also depending on what cpu u want to run in this board mosfet heatsinking is recommended.
for everyone complaining about nb temps, not sure if its even ur nb thats at 80c
but i'll hopefully know once i get something on these mosfets
hope this helps
