GA-H170n board and M.2 NVMe drives compatibility
« on: June 24, 2019, 10:02:19 pm »
Hy folks, this is my first post on this lovely forum, so I like to say hello to everyone.
I'm building this small system with this board and have trouble with chinese M.2 NVMe SSD (Asguard) which is not working on this board at all. (not recognized in BIOS nor in Windows). I did try it on another system, and ssd is working fine. But not on this board. So my assumption is that ssd controller or what ever is..is not compatible with H170n board.
My question is which M.2 NVMe disk do you have on this board that is working fine?

Does anyone have M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 Evo Plus paird with this board?

Thanks

Stick with Samsung.  Safest bet and best overall performance.

I just purchased a new GPU and have a 960 Pro that I purchased and never used.  Buying a Z390 board next week for 4th of July.  Be assured, Samsung is compatible.
