Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme Waterforce 2080 Ti - 2 pcie white leds
« on: April 11, 2020, 08:11:39 pm »
Hello.
Gigabyte 2080 Ti Aorus Waterforce Xtreme

The LED lights are located above the PCIe power connectors on the card.

When card is underload i can see white lights near pcie 2 connectors. Not blinking. Just white lights continuously. No problem in stability, clocks are normal.

Psu is Seasonic ULTRA TX 750W Platinum. Anybody have the same card?

Card is plugged by 2 separate pcie cables.
But according to AORUS white leds lightning continuosly means that there is no power. Both two white lights are not blinking. They just lightning continuously. Card working ok.

Greetings,
Glad you aren't having any performance issues.  Please provide your system specs.

Your PSU has a 62A 12v rail, should be plenty for a 2080Ti, but maybe its not stable under load.  How old is it and what else are you running with it?

Have you done any benchmarking or monitoring to see what the 12v is doing under load?

Are you using Hybrid or normal mode.  Try with both settings and see if there is any difference.

Other recommendation: Since 750w is the minimum specified for the 2080Ti WC, I would suggest using Seasonic's recommended config for power connections:

1 cable for each power connection to distribute load on the rail.

If these suggestions don't help, probably best to open a case with support.

LOL. Its fine. I am using like i said 2 separate pcie cables. And despite of that white light constant i dont had performance issues. Card was working like intented. Also gpu logo was not changing colour ,there was pink colour ,constant colour. And 2 white constant lights near pcie .

But i restarted today pc and logo changing colours and no white colours near pcie slots. So restart helped. Any ideas why?

Psu is new have 2 months. Its Seasonic 750W ULTRA TITANIUM.

The only difference is that the indicators light up for some reason and do not turn off until the PC is turned off. After turning on the PC, they do not light up. At the same time, the logo stopts to play with colors, and burns constantly.
Even if I load the card heavily, the indicators do not turn on. But after some time I find that they are lit (my PC case is closed.) PC runs 24/7. Can I ignore this?

Greetings,
Already using dual PCIe.. Sorry, missed that. New PSU is probably fine.

Rebooting can fix all kinds of subtle problems.  The issue could be related to RGB software, voltage or maybe due to heat.

I wouldn't worry about it too much if temps, voltage and performance appear normal. Maybe watch it over the next few days/weeks and see what precipitates the behavior.  Happens over time, after you play X hard, when the machine goes to sleep and wakes.  Or when it exceeds a certain temperature threshold (example).  Yo'll have to watch it and see if there is something specific that causes it.
