K8DPS Dual Power Supply Daughter Board

K8DPS Dual Power Supply Daughter Board
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:36:22 am »
Hi All,
I have installed a K8DPS Dual Power Supply or Voltage Regulater Module Daughter Board on to my GA-K8NXP MoBo.
Everything seems to be working fine but, apart from 4 blue LED's on the DPS I am finding no other indications of it's presence, I would have expected something, maybe in the BIOS.
Can anyone tell what indications I can expect when the K8DPS is installed please?
Cheers,
Mac

Hi,
To be honest you should not notice anything different with this daughter board plugged in. It is used to "clean" up the power supply through the motherboard and the only possible advantage would be to help extend the life of components.

Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Apparently often it has to be removed to fit a large heatsink and fan assembly on the CPU anyway!
