Gigabyte GA-7PESH3 SATA controller temperature?

Gigabyte GA-7PESH3 SATA controller temperature?
« on: June 17, 2020, 03:53:36 pm »
Hi,

1) Does anybody knows what is under that heatsink? (Nothing is mentioned in manual - is it Sata controller?)
2) And the main question - what should be a normal temperature of that chip or controller?

As I did, accidentally, touched it and the heatsink is mega hot. Almost burning the skin.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7PESH3

Anybody can suggest?

Thanks

This a new board or something you have had for awhile? Yes those heatsinks will get hot, but not that hot. You have any problems with it too? I look at the manual too. It doesn't show any thing. It even doesn't have area where you check Temps.

Plus look at this it might help and it talks about overheating: https://www.servethehome.com/gigabyte-ga-7pesh3-review-highend-workstation-server-dual-socket-motherboard/
