3rd year warranty and RMA troubles

3rd year warranty and RMA troubles
« on: July 25, 2020, 09:04:45 am »
I'm from Croatia and 2.5y ago I bought X370 gaming 5 board on UK Amazon site, and with Amazon
as seller. Board died after 2.5y, I asked Amazon for RMA, but they replied that they cover 2y warranty
and Gigabyte is responsible for 3rd. Aftrt some chat on esupport gigabyte site, they said they
can't help me and this was their final answer:

"As the guarranty rule, you should first try develop the warranty issue form the dealer where you bought the MB, it will be safe and quickly.

In special case you can try contact with our RMA center in Europa with

partner_rma@gigabyte.de"

I emailed that address, but never got response.

Should I just give up? What are other people experiences in similar situation?

Still no luck, I guess my current 3 Gigabyte motherboards and 6 Gigabyte graphic cards will
be the last Gigabyte products I ever buy.

For comparison, my 7 years old Supermicro motherboard died (because of Intel Avoton
processor bug), they replaced it free of charge, 5 years out of warranty
