It is not clear what the terms on the motherboard mean
« on: October 19, 2020, 05:20:11 pm »
Attached is a B550 AORUS MASTER motherboard and I do not understand the terms listed

Thanks in advance to those who explain, why, how and why

That I will understand.

1. What is the difference between a B550 or X570 chipset

The transfer rate? Compatibility?
A weak and new board gives more new options

Like memory speed, connections and more ...

2. What is Onboard Graphics? Do I buy a 5900 processor? Is it related to me?

2.1 How the video card in the board supports Support for HDMI 2.1 version, HDCP 2.3, and HDR that is not in the video card board
And there is no Onboard Graphics graphics card that gives HDMI 2.1?

3. Audio for Support for DTS: X® Ultra is listed in HDMI format
Do not understand how I get this format?
MY computer will have an NVIDIA video card that is not connected to the board driver
So how is DTS: X® Ultra supported on the board?

4. LAN - Register Realtek® 2.5GbE LAN chip (2.5 Gbit / 1 Gbit / 100 Mbit)
The fastest line iS 1000mb What gives me 2.5 GB? Just for beauty?

4.1 Some boards come with 2 LAN lines, why do I need 2 LAN lines?

Thanks for explaining

off topic a bit:
Please, write what you want in your favorite text editor.
Double check for errors.
If English is not your primary language and you are really bad at it, copy paste into google translate. English->Your Language.
If it is close enough, use it. If in your own language still sounds silly, edit.

"Attached is a B550 AORUS MASTER motherboard". Unable to find the motherboard :p

on topic:
Forums are for specific problems and on point questions.
If you need to learn, there are online courses, google and youtube.

Greetings,
We'll guide you a bit, but you'll have to do your own reading:

1. B550 vs X570 general comparison:

https://techmotherboard.com/b550-vs-x570/#:~:text=%20Comparisons%20and%20Differences%20between%20B550%20and%20X570,limited%20as%20compared%20to%20X570.X570%20generally...%20More%20

Visit AMD's website for more information.  If you want a specific comparison between boards, search google.

2. OnBoard graphics means the CPU includes an onboard GPU, or APU in the case of AMD
2.1 Your hardware has to support it.  Support for a feature depends on the hardware you choose.

3. Support for DTS X.  Again search google to see how a manufacturer implements this support.

4.  The feature is called port or link aggregation.  Search google
4.1 In the case of port aggregation you can link two ports and effectively double your bandwidth, but you have to have this bandwidth in the first place, you don't get double the speed simply by turning on the feature.

Motherboards can have to 2 or more network interfaces for many reasons.  One might provide a dedicated connection to the internet, the other a dedicated connection to a local LAN.  Or, in the case of link aggregation provide greater network bandwidth.

Answers for all of your questions are available online.  Visiting a local computer store may also be beneficial and might help with your purchase decisions.
