Hey,

anyone noticed in later BIOS versions PBO is broken for older CPUs? It doesn't set the maximum TDC nor EDC limits, instead they stay the same, thus the CPU is not boosting higher at all. Can be overwritten with Ryzen Master but that resets back to stock after a sleep cycle or reboot.

2700x @ B450 Aorus M

Tried customer support, their universal answer is simply "downgrade to an older BIOS".

Honestly, this is common.  Boards that support multiple generations of processors sometimes have these types of issues.

My Z97 is a prime example.   4th gen Devils Canyon CPU's worked best with BIOS revs through F8.  5th Gen Broadwell CPU's worked best with F9 and F10.

Those who updated to F10 with a 4th gen processor had lots of problems with voltages, stepping and heat. 

This is not an excuse, just a likely explanation for the behavior. As time goes on, the amount of development and testing that goes into ensuring backwards compatibility lessens.   I know your Ryzen CPU is only 3 yrs old, but its the nature of the business unfortunately.
