RTX 3080 Gigabyte Vision OC overshooting power limit

Hi

My RTX 3080 Gigabyte vision OC is completely stock apart from what I understand is the factory "OC" on the card.

my card is reporting up to 15% over the default 100% Power limit. which im sure should be 100 and under? Card is rated for 350W I think and its hitting up to 360W. I  did have a poke around in GPU-Z and it does show that the card has a hard cap of 370W so im slightly confused.

Anyone shed some light if my card is defective and why im seeing 115% Power limit when its completely stock i.e at 100%. Ive attached a picture of my HWINFO report. Does say 111% however ive seen all the way up to 115%

Hello,

The factory OC is not the base clock for the CPU, what is advertised as 1800MHz is the GPU Boost clock and the actual RTX 3080 GPU core base clock is 1440MHz. Therefore whenever the CPU is over 1440MHz your powerlimit is likely to be over 100% depending on load conditions. (GPU Boost is the automatic overclocking feature responsible for this)

So factory OC = manufacturer's way of saying, this card will boost upto 1800MHz.
Your GFX card is fine.
