I7-10700k temperature query
« on: November 12, 2021, 05:38:14 pm »
Hi.

I recently assembled a new rig consisting of an i7-10700K processor, Gigabyte Z490 UD motherboard, 32GB RAM (Kingstone Fury), and Sapphire RX570 GPU (8GB).

The cooler the processor has is a MasterAir MA610P Mastercooler, which according to the manufacturer has 180 watts of heat dissipation.

The equipment works perfectly. In office tasks the temperature fluctuates between 32ºC and 40ºC, but when I test with cinebench the equipment reaches peaks of 95ºC which seems too much to me.

The cabinet has 3 fans at the front and one at the rear.

I would like to perform a slight undervolting to get the equipment to work more freshly, but I do not have much experience on the subject so I would greatly appreciate any indication or guidance that you can offer me.

Thanks in advance.

The cinebench is stressing CPU other have people had the same thing. I myself don't use many Benchmark tools.

The only tool I ever use is this one IntelBurnTest v2.54

If you CPU at Idle is around 30c or below you are fine. Benchmark tools to me are for people that want bragging rights.

If everything is working OK don't start jumping through hoops. When you think some thing wrong and it really not.

Been doing this to long to worry about the small stuff. LOL As I always say "If it isn't broke don't fix it"
