Right take the pen drive to the other computer and double click on the .exe file. A dialogue box will open asking where you want to extract it to so tell it the boot sector of your pendrive and do the business. Then you will be able to see the file from the Q-Flash utility on the main computer.

The primary section of the drive ie not in any folder just on the drive itself. Do you understand?

 I ran it and extracted it to G:, the USB stick, tried it but it still didn't show up.

Ok it should have. Lets go over it. Tell me what files are on the boot sector of the USB drive.

The exe, FLASHSPI and M79XUD3P.F7a, it's an F7a file, the latter 2 have been added after running the exe.

right you should have another one called "autoexec".  It may just be that you can't see it because it's hidden.

Well we will assume it 's there hopefully! Put the USB drive in the computer and then boot and press "end" to enter the Q-Flash utility.

 I entered Q-flash, went to update and the USB stick wasn't there, only Floppy.

Yes  that is probably the usb pendrive. I did explain that it probably would show up as a floppy or hard drive. The file should be inside it.

 It isn't, I checked to be sure.
I left it for a bit, pressing enter on Floppy A, waited a bit and it said the drive was not detected, I assume that means there is no floppy drive and that it's not my USB drive.

The file will be called M79XUD3P.F7a It must be there somewhere
I really don't know why it isn't showing up. I must be missing something here but what?
Can you refresh the screen or check for any other drive?

That file is on the USB stick, but it's not showing up when I enter Q-flash, the USB stick that is.

I do understand. I just can't think why.
The USB port you have it in is not a remote port is it? It is one directly on the computer?
