AHCI, USB Keyboard & Bios
« on: September 27, 2010, 12:01:19 pm »
I have several Intel and AMD Gigabyte motherboards so I don't think this problem is motherboard specific. When AHCI is enabled I can't get into bios with a USB keyboard. Pressing the delete key does not get me into the bios. So I have to use a PS2 keyboard. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to forum.
It is probably just that you haven't set the Legacy USB Devices to Enabled in the BIOS. ;)

Problem solved. It was my keyboard. I use the same Microsoft Reclusa keyboard for all my systems and this was the culprit. Tried a diffrenet usb keyboard and all is well.

Glad you managed to solve the problem. I have heard of this before with this Micro$oft Reclusa keyboard.
