X58A-UD3R now emits one long beep during post

Hello.  Yes, I searched for one long beep first, but no answer.  My six week old motherboard has starting emitting a single long beep, between 1 and 2 seconds, during post after power on.  BIOS then boots Windows successfully, and all RAM seems accounted for, speeds seem correct, and no obvious errors are apparent.  If I reboot from Windows, I don't get the long beep, just from power on.  This is a definite change in behavior, so something is amiss.  I'd appreciate any input.  Thank you!

I would go into BIOS and check your settings, check memory etc and make sure they are correct...Sounds like something could have gone awry there..

Well my feeling is that you have some sort of power error but it is funnny that it runs ok once booted. I think I would reset the CMOS and then load the BIOS optimised defaults and F10 to save and exit. See if that stops it.

Thanks. I had tried that but I just retried reloading both FB and that new FC1 floating around.  BTW, TubroBoost did not seem to work with FC1, so I went back to FB.  I guess I'll just be watching it since Windows seems to work and it passes memory and CPU tests once booted.  Here's the response I got from Gigabyte technical support: "Dear Customer It is support to emit an post beep upon startup, any particular issue you are encountering?"

How many of you hear a 1 to 3 second long beep near the end of post?  I know it didn't do this previously, and I know what they are talking about - a very short beep after power on when you update BIOS.  Thanks!

No you are quite right it should be a about a half second beep to show that it has booted successfully. I would advise a follow up question in that vein.
