Minimum power supply for GA-H57-USB3 motherboard with core i3 processor

Can you please tell me the minimum power supply required for operate a GA-H57-USB3 motherboard with core i3 (530) processor. This information is not provided on the Gigabyte website. I am trying to install it in an Antec fusion case with 350W power supply and although the processor fan starts, the system will not post and does not even beep. I have sent the board and processor back to the supplier and they claim all is working fine in their tests. The only other variable is the power supply. I have not installed any other devices on the motherboard, no dedicated graphics card, no PCI devices, no hard drive. Any ideas please?

Many thanks,

Michael

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
Can you please confirm the model number of your motherboard? Is it GA-H57M-USB3? As there is no such model as the GA-H57-USB3 on our system.

Yes that is what I thought. OK in that case Gigabyte lists the recommended power supply as 500W as can be seen in the manual on page 23

Personally I would have thought that with your basic configuration 350W would be enough but ti would also depend on how the power was supplied and that may be the real crux of the matter. It may not be able to supply the startup current required. ;)
