Can you see the glow from there?

No it is nice to know that at least some people appreciate the help we try to provide.  I am suprised that so many have read the thread but not even pressed the button. Maybe most members don't really care that much at all.  ???

As I suggested few months ago Gigabyte should invest some money for this forum, e.g. hire absic or Dark Mantis, because both of them have done a great job to help the users, much much much better than the official online Global Technical Service (GTS). If you don't believe, try to submit a question to GTS and to this forum at the same time and you will know how fast both guy replies to your question/problem. In many cases, the response is faster than if you spend time to study the manual by your own (well we should not exploit this advantage)! Your post will usually receive their attention for not more than 12 hours... come on this is the best a human can serve, we need time to sleep/rest, right?

Statistic obtained on 2010-10-29 (12:50pm)
Dark Mantis - Post: 5222 / Karma: 209
absic - Post: 1889 / Karma: 94
runn3R - Post: 998 / Karma: 28
onemilimeter - Post: 247 / Karma28

Look at the number of posts and karmas these two guys have made and received. runn3R has done a great job to maintain the forum in great order and has benefited many users. The same applied to Dark Mantis and absic... Look at their karmas... really impressive!

By the way, I'm not too bad as I received the same karmas as runn3R ;D
And, it's my GA-X58A-UD3R (Rev. 1) that helped Gigabyte UK to identify the "high-pitched" noise and eventually roll out a workable solution. So, Gigabyte should also reward me a NEW, noise-FREE, and FREE UD3R or upgrade my current problematic board to a higher version board. ;)

runn3R, you're the most supportive Gigabyte staff when I dealt with Gigabyte UK to address the noise problem of my board. I believe you will be able to convince the Gigabyte UK or HQ to provide the right products for both guys so that they can provide better help and support for the users here. I think this is the best deal in the world that if someone who has great vision and knows about business will not let it go easily. They're not paid, they spend most of their valuable time helping the users dedicatedly, they spend their own money to pay the electricity bill of their computer. If I've the chance to meet the Chairman/President/VicePresident of Gigabyte I'm sure they will be convinced and provide the right products for absics and Dark Mantis to evaluate and hence to give better support help.

I am late to the party but still would like to throw my two bits in.

Both absic and DM were both very helpful in getting my first build up and running and stable.  absic took time out of his Sunday to measure/re-measure the dimensions for a D-14 to help me determine if it would fit in my case before purchase.  That was greatly appreciated.  DM helped me with my ram issues and recommended ways to test them.

Thanks, again.

Hi onemilimeter,

I take it you are very busy at the moment as we haven't seen much of you on the forum recently. Shall we just say that we are getting a bit more recognition and I think it is fair to say trust from Gigabyte for our efforts. Still unemployed though! ::)

I don't know how absic sees it.

I was always told if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing!
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

We have swapped your MB and PSU into the brand new ones some time ago. If you want your MB to be completely noise-free you can apply for RMA as the hardware fix is already available.
