OK. Just a shame it wasn't as simple as that. ;)

You said you are running the latest BIOS. Why did you do the update?

Was it working alright before the update?

I don't suppose it will make any difference but try flashing it with the F6 BIOS update just to make sure it's not that.

Johnny, get CPU-z and Prime95. Open up CPU-z whilst running prime95 and you should see 2.2GHz. The CPU only works at the full speed when it needs to and will go to the 6x multiplier when not being used as heavily (intel speedstep). This will save power (and I would leave it on), but you can turn it off in the BIOS. (May be called EIST or something.)

Yes I already considered that badbonji but if you look at the OPs figures in Everest it doesn't actually show it using the multiplier properly

I thought everest only reported the current clock speed? I might be wrong though. It can't hurt to open up a prime95 + cpu-z just to see what happens :)

No I agree anything that helps get to the bottom of it is good. I tried running both at the same time on my system and got the correct readings from both that's why I discounted it.

I tend to get a lot of mis-readings from applications, and windows too on clock speeds. I tend to only trust CPU-z. 6x multiplier is the one for speedstep so that was making me think that it was just idle.

Yes I understand where you are coming from and you may even turn out to be right. I wouldn't normally use Everest myself but as the OP was I thought I would do the same.

ok .....i tried and the values that cpu-z is showing are from 1200.0mhz to 1200.2mhz max :((.......another thing it seems that my ddram are workinh at 400mhz....and they are for 800 (dual channel)....or 400 is for channel??? 2x400-800, is it posible that my motherboard is broken??? and if so, is there any way to fiind out???
