Hi there,

I can't give a definite answer but there is only one OCZ RAM module on the QVL and that is only a 1GB stick. Check Here: http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-ma790fx-ud5p.pdf

That doesn't mean that the OCZ RAM won't work on the motherboard. If you could post back with the RAM you are thinking of getting or already have and your CPU it would be a little easier to offer advice.

Firstly could you be a little more specific as to what OCZ Reaper memory you have?

This is all the 775 motherboards that are still current:

I am afraid that you will need to go through the list and make a choice as OCZ don't appear to have a QVL to check against. :-\

You haven't even listed where you are located in your profile so I wouldn't know if a specific model would be available in your country. Your best bet is to contact a local vendor and see what they can offer you. There is really no point in me giving you motherboards that are not available locally.

Thanks but I still don't know what motherboards are available to you locally so my advice still stands to ask a local retailer what they can offer you. Sorry. :-\

Hi there,

I have gone through several AMD boards looking to see if there is one that will do the job for you. Sadly I can not find your RAM on any of the QVL lists but, as I stated before, just because your RAM isn't on the QVL that doesn't mean it won't work.

The GA-MA790FX-UD5P, that you originally mentioned should be OK and the problem isn't so much with the choice of motherboard but with the CPU you decide to run with it. If you pair this RAM with an AM3 Phenom ii you will probably be able to get it to run at stated speed. One of the AM2+ CPU's might mean that you have to live with your RAM running at 800MHz.

If you decide to go with an AMD board post back with the CPU you would like to run and I might be able to give you some better advice but, from the information you have provided I think that the GA-MA790FX-UD5P will work for you.

Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Hi,

If you are using the 1075T on the GA-MA790FX-UD5P you will need to make sure that the BIOS is the latest version F6F or the CPU won't be recognised. If you don't have an older AMD CPU that is recognised by an earlier BIOS version you won't be able to update the BIOS yourself.

If you haven't already got the Motherboard you should be able to ask your supplier to flash the BIOS to the latest version so that you don't have any problems with the CPU.

The RAM should be OK at 1066MHz although you might have to make a few adjustment in BIOS to guarantee stability.
