I am having trouble with bios detection of my corsair R120 SSD "sometimes".
At the present, a bios reset is the best way that I have found to get it back.
The ssd is not the boot device.
I have been watching the beta bios's for any change for the Jmicron 612 controller but I can't see any.
A search did not reveal any other issues with the corsair R120/Jmicron 612 controller.

Maybe I am being stupid here but I cant see why you would want it on the JMicron controller ports.

The corsair reactor series uses the Jmicron 612 controller.

The ssd is running on an ICH10 port on my motherboard.

I'm sorry (but maybe it's still a bit early) but why not use the Intel ICH10R Southbridge controlled ports? They are faster and more stable.

It's alright my bad I've just been reading up on  the Reactor series and see that they use the JMicron controller onboard, I thought you were referring to the one on the motherboard.

Is there a firmware update available for your SSD?

I am running a 256GB Corsair Performance SSD and haven't had any issues with it on this motherboard at all.

Try TweakTown Forums in the USA as they usually have the latest verions of any BIOS updates available.

I am still having the problem with the R120 failing to be detected about every week.
It is currently not being detected.

The Corsair people are telling me its an ICH10R problem and that GB have to fix the problem.
Any comments?

That may or may not be true. It's not something I have noticed come up before on the forum though.
What mode are you running it in?

Currently AHCI, but is disappears when in IDE mode as well.

Bit of a pain I know Derek but can you list all your hardware for me please. You are probably thinking what has everything else got to do with the drive not being found but sometimes  things can be obtuse.

What BIOS version do you have installed at the moment?

I have updated the bios to F8c, my previous 2 attempts failed with an error.
