Hello there... I needed to clarify whether i can or can't control fan speeds through the fan headers in the board... I use speedfan to control the speeds of fans and right now it is able to control the speeds of fans attached to CPU_FAN and SYS_FAN2... It is able to monitor the rpm of fans attached to the other two headers but is not able to increase or decrease the fan speeds... the fans are running at the default maximum speed...
I know what is PWM and the two headers where the speed is controllable by speedfan are four pin headers... I have researched and found in general fan speeds can be controlled even with three pins if they are attached to the three pin headers of motherboard... the fans i have attached to the 2 four pin headers are three pin fans lacking the fourth PWM pin, yet the speeds are controlled...
My question is why can't the voltages to the three pin headers be controlled by the mobo using a software like speedfan???
