After we checked, the highest speed of the fan should be 92% , therefore, it should be normal.

Regards,
GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY"

This is, as can you see by the screenshots, a lie. Because I can put the fan to 100%. The bug is at the VGA firmware. Seems irracional that the firmware slows down the fan when the GPU reach 95ºC. From 100% to 92%.

I replied this answer. But I really think that at GGTS most people don't know what they are speaking about, or I had no luck to reach some IT Eng.

Mantis, I will really appreciate some help on this topic.

Well I quite agree with you and it is a stupid answer to give that as it becomes hotter the fan will throttle back which will just amount to a further increase in temperature.

The only thing I can suggest is to question this reasoning and ask for a more qualified technician to answer the question properly. If necessary link them to this thread.

I can do little more that advise you I am afraid but I will ask our Forum Administrator to look into it and see if he can help at all.

Hi Mantis,

Any help will be very appreciate.

But really, I think that this forum is, by far, more helpful than VGA's GGTS.

Regards.

Well thanks for the vote of confidence in our forum but there are limits to the information we can have access to which obviously is not the case with GGTS. To be fair there are some technically savvy people there it is just trying to get hold of the right one that is the hard part.

I have asked our Forum Admin to see if he can help so maybe you will find that avenue more fruitfull.

Well, As I said at the first post: I had no hope about this topic and GGTS confirm it. Looks like this was the last word:

"Dear Jose Gausachs ,

According to hard ware specification, the maxm speed is 92%. We have forward this issue to RD, your valuable feedback is the motivation for us to improve and serve you better. We will keep your suggestion in record to improve our service in the future. Again, sorry for the inconveinience that has encountered to your end.

Regards,
GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY"

So, NO firmware, NO solution, nothing at all. Definitely this issue lets me think not to buy any other Gigabyte product but motherboards of course.

I am sorry to hear that GGTS has let you down and I can't help but feel that whoever was answering your query didn't really understand what was going on. I often think that this is the root cause of so many complaints against GGTS and is just a case of the language barrier or their capability to understand the question being asked in the first place. I think this is one reason why so many people prefer to come to the forum to get help.
