Gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L - Help Overclocking Please
« on: July 07, 2009, 09:51:09 am »
I am having trouble overclocking my intel 9550.  Can some one help me with settings as if I just up the fsb by more than 10 the pc will not boot.  Any instructions/Guide on what to do would be most appreciated,

I have tried lowering the multiplier to 7 and raising the fsb to 400 and the board does not like that, will not boot.

Also tried lowering the memory from 333 down to 266 in the bios, same results.  I have tested the memory with metest for 12 hours on each stick, no problems there.

The most I can get is 8.5 x 343fsb, 1 more on the fsb and pc will not start.

Asus V-72 heatsink
CoolerMaster 460W eXtreme Power PSU
Nvidia Geforce 8600 gts pcie card

Not sure why you made another thread?  ??? But did you try those other things i suggested? Maybe the board hits a FSB wall @ 343?  ???
