Well as I said I am not sure whether reliability is something that differs from board to board I can only comment on the number of problems that I see here on the forum. There are without doubt far more issues concerning the lower end boards. Whether that is simply because they sell in larger quantities I don't know. I think if you can afford it I would say go for the UD7 as it was the flagship board until they brought out the UD9 later in the year.

Your main focus will be a large amount of memory then for what you want to do. All the boards you are talking about offer the same RAM capacity and all are Triple Channel. You will have to enter the memory settings manually if you are going to be filling all the slots as I expect. You will probably have to alter some of the voltages etc too but no big problem.

Depending on the quality of the sound you will want as to whether you may need to get a dedicated sopund card too. The onboard is very good especially for gaming and films etc but may not be up to your standard.

thank you for all your help so far. I will order the UD7 then and report back once I have everything in place again. Will probably be in the new year since shipping is taking longer right now.

happy holidays!

UPDATE:. now I also changed the CPU and it still has the same issue. Now I can just return the board and order the UD7. if that doesn't work either I don't know what to do ....

Isn't that just the size of it! Whichever way you jump it is wrong. Anyway hopefully the new board  will fix everything. Have a good Christmas.
