Hi

We may be fairly good but we do need a little information to go on. ::)

From what you have said it would sound as if you are trying to download/install the wrong BIOS  for your motherboard. If you can give us a few more details it would help greatly.

mine is rev 1.0 and downloading it from main site http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3251#ov i.e F8G .. then i load Q-flash and it checks the bios , then Checksum DD00 comes up and the message are you sure you want to update, i did not ..you reckon Gig uploaded the wrong bios?

OK now that I know what moptherboard we are talking about it is a mite easier. So when you tried to run the update it came up with the checksum: DD00. What makes you think this is a fault?

yea the Mb model would of helped indeed ::), forgot about that lol , i see checksum as bad mate, why say this in q-flash anyway if there is no issue.

The QFlash utility does a check before it runs the update to make sure that it is the correct file for that motherboard. I expect that is all that is happening there and you just need to proceed. It doesn't actually say there is any fault or problem does it?

Well i downloaded the UD7 1.0 f8g form the site so it should be the correct bios, after checking bios all it says is Checksum DD00 and it does ask if i want to update but i did not due to being unsure.

As far as I remember that is correct and it is just showing the checksum ID. It would say if there was a problem with it.

understand mate , i did a few Bios updates a while back and never did see this Checksum must be me getting Paranoid as this is my second Ud7 (due to Vrm/double booting issue)

i might leave it till the final comes out ,
also another Question i have had the same overclock for a while, why is it some times MIT resets to Default on boot Occasionally ?

i had this on my Old X38-DQ6 but was very rare this happened.

I don't know what causes it to happen but occasionally it has a problem with the BIOS settings and then thinks it has a failed overclock and resets.

you reckon that MIT is too Sensitive sometimes? on my DQ6 i set the mem to auto and that worked , i have just set the UD7 to auto mem and turbo which gives me 9,9,9,24 1t not bad but i like 7,7,7,20 2t ,System was stable on tests before , but even then Mit can still spit the dummy out on Boot ..

will see how Auto works for now.

Yes sometimes you need to play around with the memory settings manually to get it stable. You didn't say what memory you are using anyway. I think you just like to keep me guessing  ;)

But as you say just see how it goes ...can always make changes as necessary.

yea done it again lol, but System In my Signature now, i.e Corsair Dom GT DHX 6GB CMT6GX3M3A1600C7 .  i did Enable XMP a while back and the Ud7 set it to 7,7,7,23 1T Which i thought was odd as XMP for that mem is 7,7,7,20 2T .

From memory that Corsair Dominator set isn't on the QVL and maybe that is why the XMP sets itself at a slightly looser setting.

Definitely easier now we can se your system  ;D
