AMD Phenom II X4 975BE overclocked to staggering 7.13GHz
« on: November 30, 2010, 12:33:16 pm »
In an age where its all about the blue corner there is record broken on the red side
A Brazilian Overclocking event has managed to push an AMD Phenom II X4 975BE (with a bit of help from nitrogen) to a sizzling 7.13GHz, setting new highs in the world of AMD overclocking. The exact clock was 7134.31MHz just beating the previous recored of 7.127 GHz.

However the record is still held in the blue corner at 8242.45 MHz on an Intel celeron processor with the current lineup of Intel processors topping in at 7307.84 MHz.

makes my current 3.8 on the AMD 1090T with the system on defaults look a bit on the low side......

Oh well, onwards and upwards now where did I put that liquid nitrogen? ??? ??? ?
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Yes, it's a bit different with the LN2 than with air!

Now that temps there have plummeted take your RIG for a walk. Seek a secluded park bench. Open the case covers. Pump up the CPU. You should get around 5 Ghz ;)
