well....I wouldnt have thought that was a driver issue, I am on the same drivers and stock voltage....more like a dodgey card or maybe a compatibility issue with you m/b........I have 2 of these cards and they are pretty good cards...beating a 580 in sli with an overclock up to 800/1600/2000 with afterburner at stock volts.

are you on windows7

I have been googleing this error and most of the responses from people are saying it is probably a driver issue. Some are also saying its supposed to do it if the application running is not taxing the card. Have you tried running GPU-Z  with the sensor screen showing and then run a game for 10 min to see what is happening to your card. GPU-z will record everything that happens while in game and you can see what the max clocks, temps etc were while in game...it may give you an idea of whats going on.

Just ignore if you have all ready tried this ;)

i have run afterburner for monitoring in game the utilization of the card is around 75-99% .when tha card downclocks tha utilization remains at 77-99% but the core clock drops to 405 mhz . but the memory clock remains st 1800 .
