Borg.

You must switch off Morphologic AA! Morphologic AA is not perfect... :(

The black screen issue not only have Serbian and Hungarian users, but all over the world.

Read this AMD forum topic: http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=142284&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear

I'm waiting the resolve from Gigabyte and(or) AMD.

I like the Gigabyte motherboards and my Gigabyte HD4850 OC, but I'm very sad and angry because of HD6850 the black screen problem.

@ 59th_Vittman
I wonder if the defect occurs only in 6850, or with any other manufacturers?

@ Dark Mantis
Thank you for trying to understand the problem!
Tomorrow I send a substitute.
Under the new law should be replaced immediately as long as the customer is not satisfied with the first 6 months.

Now Dark Mantis read your first posts. You think we lie. This is the largest problem with graphic card ever.
6850 series with mlaa like my 5870 with mlaa this is crazy. I have problem with some aplication not in game like Borg.
And thats normal. ccc with mlaa is modify for my card. 6850 series must work well with mlaa.

Complete 6850 cards must replace now or in future if people have problems.
I know what is good card when work in all 3d games, never restart comp or stop or freeze or somthing else.
Every good card must work on default clocks with cd that comes in box. And with 10%-20% OC. This is correct cards.
There are to many problems with ATI, every driver, weaker in 3D Mark vs many cheaper nvidia. In game i dont know, but wil try Nvidia.
This is end for me. 10 years with ATI now its time to say goodbay Red Hell. My next card is Nvidia.
And I want to see team which makes CCC and  Display Driver. Baseball bats is for that stupid gropu of people.

For every driver they say this is not good enough. Waiting Next and Next, try this, try that, overvoltage, downclock, f*** them.

I can assure you that I don't think you are lying and can only comment on what I have seen reported on this forum.  Up until this thread there had been no cases of this problem posted here to my knowledge.  If there is a problem then I agree that it should be put right as soon as possible and Gigabyte should do whatever is necessary.

GIGABYTE don't even make the cards, they only put on stickers or a different cooler attached to it. I think it is more the fault of the vendor who had the shipment of fake cards in the first place to quality test them, then this mess would have never happened.

I have had bad experiences with both Nvidia and AMD cards, problems can be expected on new generations as they seem to rush the cards out to beat the opposition and be left with bugged drivers.

What do you mean exactly by "fake"? Do you actually mean counterfeit, or just faulty? Have GIGABYTE Tech support or AMD actually responded to this? I am surprised this hasn't popped up on tech news sites or anything, first I have heard of this.

My story starts 24 October 2010, the birthday when I decided to buy 6850th
After a few days to a benchmark forum I read about problems with this card. I did tests and assured the failure of the card.
I sent the complaint, but none of the service did not want to admit that the cards are bad. Agony continues to this day. Gigabjte does not recognize the defect, and we users are suffering because of it.
Later, the abnormalities occurred as shown in the topic.

Later, the abnormalities occurred as shown in the topic.
Unfortunately, in Serbia is not easy to sort out all that money for a graphics card, and thus the situation is difficult.
The most important is to warn other people who want to buy a graphics card, to avoid this and avoid the inconvenience imodel that await them.

@Badbonji
I'm interested to replace my graphics card for the correct and to acknowledge the problem that is obvious. The packer and who sticks the label is unimportant to me and I can not control.
With the waiting and ignoring, Gigabjte will have heavy losses in the future

Those cards are faulty by nature. The new bios is better , BUT DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. It might help with Crysis , but in Far Cry 2 benchmark the crash is there. Test your cards with Far Cry 2 benchmark @ full resolution and details and you'll see what I'm yelling about.

RMA remains the solution. Even though this problem appears only in Far Cry 2 , for me , it's still a faulty card and I'm not happy with it , because crashes can show up in other future games as well.

Yes new BIOS is only to calm down people. This is VERY VERY BIG SHAME FOR GIGABYTE. People are cheated.
Gigabyte try to make correct card of defective. Those card are fault by nature this is TRUE STRAIGHT ANSWER. And because cards are not replaced i never buy Gigabyte propductr in life. Shame you Gigabye. And if my card is fault shop had to replace it with Asus model or I set fire to a shop.

On every forum about computers or somthing else i tell people about this. This is my new mission. Teach people  not to buy Gigabyte.
Risk is to High and their(People from Gigabyte) behavior is brazenly.

Gigabyte must return money or give 6870 like gift to deceived people.

Expect this Story in Serbian Media soon. And after that in other countries. THIS IS VERY BIG SHEET AND GIGABYTE KNOW THAT,
BUT WAY HOW THEY BEHAVES IS EXTREMLY BAD. They go deaper and deaper in Sheet.

Hello,

First to explain that this is not just GIGABYTE ONLY problem, in official amd forum you can see that people have the same problem with MSI, XFX and HIS also ...

XFX MSI
http://forums.amd.com/game/messagevi...VIEWTMP=Linear

HIS
http://forums.amd.com/game/messagevi...VIEWTMP=Linear

GIGABYTE distributors in Serbia have been waiting for official AMD solution and in mean while new BIOS was issued to try and fix this problem.
All vga cards totaling in 4 so far have been exchanged or money returned.

Make sure you guys  look at the thread    HD6850 No Signal Crash

It is the same issue.  I got an update from my RMA status.  It is verified by them that it is a voltage regulator that spikes the voltage.  Straight from the techs mouth.  He was very good at checking out the problem and he says MSI has a new batch of cards that are supposed to have the hardware fix.  Did not sound like it could be fixed by a bios.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks
Good Luck guys.
