GTX 470 SOC OC guru

GTX 470 SOC OC guru
« on: January 12, 2011, 11:26:12 pm »
Hey guys! Just joined today. So I got my 470 SOC a few months ago. I have since tried to use every single version of oc guru that has been released. I can never get the voltages to stick however. No matter what I set, gpu-z shows 1 v. The clocks will work however. So I have been using afterburner to overvolt which seems to work, but anything over 1v tends to make my card stop outputting a signal to my monitor and the monitor just goes to sleep. I am stuck at 785 core clock because I can't adjust the voltage. I feel kinda mad that I paid the premium to get this card with its 2 oz of copper, etc., and it overclocks worse than standard reference cards. The cooling solution is great thats for sure. But the ocing sucks, can't do anything with voltage. I wish I could at least be able to actually USE oc guru to change voltage without my card freaking out but I can't. I mean seriously, I am stuck at 1 v... Anybody else come across this problem? It is really frustrating...

I am using windows 7 x64 by the way. Temps are fine, max out at around 75 C in heaven, 3dmark 11, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if i ranted a bit. I am a bit pissed off...  ;D

Thanks

edit: my psu is a corsair tx750, so i don't think psu is the problem here... and nvidia driver 260.99

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I take it that nobody else has any ideas on your problem.

Have you got both the power adapters connected to the card?

I don't personally run nVidia cards  so I don't have so much experience on them. I think maybe you would be better off contacting GGTS and see what they say.

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.
