EX58-UD4 wont start - fans are working & phase leds too, but nothing happens

Hello,

Got a bulk EX58-UD4 today. Installed components from already working rig as follow: i7 @950, Dominator 3x2 GB, Corsair AX850, Nvidia 8400GS.
As soon I hit ON button ALL phase leds are lighting all the time. Fans start, but no BIOS or anything else happens.

Any idea?

The first thing I would consider is that you might have a short to the chassis.
Check for any old posts left over from the previous build.

I read somewhere that particular MOBO  EX58-UD4  have compatibility issues with some Corsair power supply. If so, any possibility to check that? I have Corsair AX850.

Regards.

It is extremely unlikely. I have a very similar motherboard to you and use a Corsair HX850 and it is solid as a rock. Try doing as I suggested first and checking for shorts.

Another thing to check is that you have inserted the 8 pin EPS 12v connection near the CPU socket.

Solved! Memory issue. Yes, Corsair power unit & Gigabyte Mobo is really a good combination. Thanks!
