Hmm I think your best bet would be to go to http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/Support/ServiceCenter.aspx then take it from there. I can't see any direct RMA request either  :-\
There's no place like ::1

OK, so after I phoned GB they gave me the same e-mail address as in the thread pasted by runn3R. I thought there was an online RMA process. All you do is e-mail and they send you a form for the RMA. So here is the e-mail:

returns@gbt-tech.co.uk

It all seems to be very haphazard and confusing.

If I wasn't of a suspicious mind, I say they don't want to give out RMAs. :D

I've still not received my RMA after 3 days now after I emailed returns@gbt-tech.co.uk

Xmas  is getting close and I would have liked to get my mobo fixed in 2009!

why you just don't return it to the shop where you bought it?
maybe they would swap it for a new one

Perhaps you are not aware that in the UK, the shop covers the first year.

After that, it's GigaByte warranty.

I've owned the mobo for 14 months.  ;D

perhaps you don't know that shop is simply cheating you as according to EU law they should accept your claim up to 2 years

That does not applies to UK Business customers. We get 28 days from Ebuyer.

See their terms.

"Items Faulty in Warranty Period

If any of your purchases develop a fault, and it's more than 28 calendar days since receipt, then provided your item is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a warranty repair. In some cases, manufacturers provide a specialist full on-site service and/or telephone help facilities for your convenience which we recommend you use in order to correct the fault quickly. For business customers all warranty repairs after 28 days of receipt are referred directly to the manufacturer (unless otherwise stated)"

This is wrong.

In the UK we have a full 6 years of right to getting faulty items (5 years in Scotland) fixed.

But I am the end user. ;D

Generally shops provide the first 12 months of guarantee to most customers.

I had to check what relationship I had with Ebuyer. It's a business one in as such as we bought items to use for our consumption via a ebuyer business account.

Regarding the 5/6 year period simply consult your Sales of Good Act.
It's available to read online.

This article may help you.
http://www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/wordpress/eu-2-year-guarantee-sales-of-goods-act-gives-us-6-years-to-claim-for-faulty-appliances/

and this

http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_world/consumer_affairs/buying_goods_your_rights.htm#your_rights_when_things_go_wrong

all basic stuff.

All shops have to obey this law. But the onus is on you proving the fault was there from day one.

If more people knew about this time period and enforced it, then  retailers would be trembling...
