f_audio connection

  Hi,I'mtrying to connect up the audio pins from the front case panel ( I have no identifying lables or documentation for this case) tothe adio header pins on a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P Mother board.
       The case has atotal of 8 pins and lable as such   MIC-IN
                                                                                    MIC-BIAS
                                                                                    L-IN
                                                                                    L-OUT
                                                                                    R-IN
                                                                                    R-OUT
                                                                   AND 2 X  GRND 
          all plugs are individual

        The M/B plugs are lable as such          for HD    (not sure my case supports this)          or                         for AC'97

        Could some help me match up the plugs with the mobo pins

Yeah you will need to use the AC97 config 
or AC'97
MIC                 = MIC IN
GRND               = ground                                                                                                                                                       
MIC POWER      = mic bias                                                                                                                                                     
NC                     = another of the grounds possibly                                                                                                                                                 
LINE OUT R       = right line out     
NC                     = right line in                                                                                                                         
NC                                                                                                                                                   
NO PIN
LINE OUT L      = left out
NC                    = left line in           


Give that a try you may have to swap and change the ground connections

Is that a typo there!
NC is Not connected
You got your right line in, your left line out, in out shake it all about You do the hokey cokey

Nope have come across it before, not a typo, you need line in and out for ac97

Ignore the Intel HD part and look at the "For AC-97 Front Panel Audio" bit, that explains it better
