P67A - UD3 Packaging - What is normal?
« on: January 24, 2011, 07:32:49 pm »
What is normal in terms of packaging with gigabyte boards? I want to make sure that I have recieved a factory sealed unit as I've bought the item online and want to rule out that I've been sent an RMA.

The box has no seal, wrapper, tape or anything, it just opens. Inside the sata cables are sealed and the board itself is in a anti-static bag with a bit of selotape on it.

I was surprised there was no sticker or wrapper on the outside of the box. Is this the standard way they are packaged?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Firstly stop worrying as this is standard procedure. I must admit to wondering myself when I received my first Gigabyte board but they are all the same. I do think that there should be some sort of anti tamper seal on the boxes for peace of mind but thta is how it is.  ;)

That's cool. Thanks for the welcome and quick reply. Just wanted to make sure, I can now go on and build my system with peace of mind. I've had Gigabyte boards before but couldn't remember about the packaging, this will be my fourth Gigabyte over the past 10 years or so and they've never failed me. I just need to upgrade a lot because I need serious power for 3D rendering. This system should be boss once I get it up and running, can't wait!
