Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P with D0 CPU and less than F6 BIOS

One of my customers wants an i7 system (how exciting!  )

Anyway looking at this one:-

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2986#anchor_os

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Gigabyte-GA-EX58-UD4P-Intel-X58-Express-S1366-PCI-E-20x16-DDR3-1333-SATA-3Gb-s-SATA-RAID-ATX

only problem is needs BIOS F6 to support the D0 Stepping CPU's, so if the MB has <F6 will the machine boot at least as far as being able to load BIOS F8????

(I want to buy a D0 Stepping CPU at the same time)

I know on older motherboards that sometimes you can use newer CPU's on older BIOS with some limitations, but I dont have a spare C0 Stepping i7 to flash with!

(How many people have "spare" i7 CPU's lol)

Thank you for replies :)

David, no worry about bios micorcode to support D0, even you buy a board come with old bios, F2 or F1
your D0 still can boot & work, sure enough time let you to update BIOS. microcode will fully optimized full function
with the processor, like D0 improve idle power state.
