GA-P55-USB3 Load Line Calibration

Hello,

I wanted to ask if someone knew what AUTO means in Load Line Calibration? I have 3 options in this mobo (auto, enabled, disabled).
For a better explanation my normal CPU VCore as stated in the Bios is 1.30625v, i changed Auto Vcore to Normal and also used DVID -0.02500,
so effectively my VCore is 1.28v. When i load prime95 on 4 cores CPU-Z reads 1.248v and on 2 cores it reads 1.268v. However after playing a game the MAX Cpu Vcore recorded by HWMonitor is 1.28. So after reading this do i have LLC enabled or not?  Also it idles on 0.8v.

Load line calibration is use for high overclocking only so if you'r not overclocking keep it on auto.

And AUTO means? Disabled?

Because i tested yesterday with LLC Auto and LLC Disabled and on LLC disabled it used less voltage on load, so i guess AUTO enables it.

Any response from Gigabyte team? Or am i not in the correct forum?

I am afraid theat if you are waiting for an answer form Gigabyte themselves you will not have any luck. You can take out a ticket with GGTS which is the Technical Support part here:

LLC as you know means Load Line Calibration and is the way to help combat Vdroop which usually becomes more of a problem when you are overclocking. You have to be very careful with it though as it can destroy or at least shorten the life of your CPU.

Thanks for the response but after testing all options i will go with LLC Disabled. We all know that mainboard companies don't put so much effort in writting a decent manual of instructions that's why all the people are wondering for the available options in their Bios. I am just trying to run my pc as optimal as possible and i guess "Loading Optimal Defaults" does the exact opposite.

I wopuld agree that the manuals could be a lot more comprehensive in their descriptions of the various items. I don't understand why they don't make the effort to enhance them, it can't be because of the cost.

Yes some things are just best left to their default values for most users.
