How do I know if my Intel processor is the D0 stepping?
« on: August 06, 2009, 11:03:51 am »
Hello,

I've just purchased a new processor and board.  The processor was supposed to be the new D0 stepping, but I can't find any mention of it in the system properties.  How do I know if the processor is indeed the D0 stepping?  I am using Vista 64 with a GA-EX58-UD3R board.

Thanks.

OK, but the CPU is installed already so maybe it will be easier to check by software like CPU-Z suggested by Pottypette

Thanks for your replies guys.  The reason why I asked was because it does not say on the box what it is.

I did indeed download CPU-Z and it confirmed that I have a D0 stepping.  I wouldn't have asked except that no mention was given on the box, and the software that was supplied with my motherboard told me everything except what the stepping was.

Thanks for your help on this!
