Hi all, Can someone enlighten if it is possible to fit the UD7 rev 2 board onto a mid tower chassis, if so which one?
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

The GA-X58A-UD7 will most definitely fit into a mid tower case no problem. In fact when I first got mine I installled it into an Antec, if I remember correctly, 900 case and that was with full water cooling also. To be fair it is quite tight and that is why I moved up t a HAF 932 full tower case for the extra room. It will probably be more the worry of whether your chosen heatsink and fan will fit as some of them are enormous.

Thanks for the assurance. May I know which model Antec did you first installed the board in? Also, I didn't mention that I'm thinking of using a single Palit GTX580 3GB graphic card, will the length fit or will the HD cage need to be removed?
Thanks again in advance.

Hi there,
I recently did a review of the Sharkoon Scorpio 1000 Mid sized PC Case (check it out here: http://www.azcs.co.uk/content.php/235-Sharkoon-Scorpio-1000-PC-Case-Review ) and I have to say that for the cost this case was pretty impressive. It would easily take the motherboard and a large Graphic Card and it has 2 hot swap bays for HDD's

Hi Absic,
Thanks for the info. The Sharkoon Scorpio 1000 looks like a reasonable box, how much did it cost?
Warm regards,

Hi
in the UK it retails at around £69.

I actually use an NZXT Tempest Evo for my own PC (AMD) which has the Noctua NH-D14 cooler but I was really tempted to swap it over for the Sharkoon Scorpio 1000 case. Sadly by son threatened me with violence so he now has the Sharkoon!  :'(
