Hi, just passing through and was reading...

I had a similar problem with gaming being unstable with my new GTX580 SLI, BSOD !! I tried everything...

It turned out after about 30 hours of troubleshooting, the culprit was my SSD drive  ::), weird as that should have nothing to do with gaming other then loading.. I flashed my SSD to latest firmware and my BSOD went away, ran Crysis2 benmark for 12 hours non-stop.. kicka$$...

Just a wildshot, give it a try & update (if you are using SSD) to latest firmware.. Pls do backup your data first before flashing

Hi

Thanks for sharing that bit of information with us. Was your SSD a OCZ drive ?

It was a ADATA S599 100GB drive, based on Sandforce 1200 (SF-1222TA3) controller, it's a pretty well known issue w/ P67 boards + S599 series drives.

Prior issues are crashing in 3D with P67 based boards, and SMART reporting that the drive need to be replaced due to high raw read error rate or something ..

The current firmware as of date is 3.4.6, my old version was 3.0.1.. it fixed the BSOD problem but now my SMART says the drive is 60c even tho it's not, just another bug for ADATA to sort out between themselves and Sandforce.. Just a bit of detail for reference and google food  ;D

Ok well thanks for that anyway. It was just that there were quite a few problems with the OCZ drives a while back. All fixed now I think.
