I was asked to test some old bios F7 which is impossible for me to do, due to lack of my 1090t processor support.  My problem was sent to laboratory and I was asked for waiting for diagnose this problem there. Month for eventual new bios release, time will tell.

All these things seem to take forever especially when it is your machine and are waiting to get it back to full use again. Hopefully coming to the end now though. ;)

Problem was not solved , tried new GA F8N bios and latest LSI 20.10.1-0061 firmware (Oct 14, 2011) without any luck. In the meantime some advanced user tried to help me writing some special boot code interrupt interceptor but I admit we failed with it (I especially with my patience and broken-neck testing procedures ;)  ).

Also I was trying LSI card with new GA Intel i3 board and all worked ok.

So to sum it up, in the future I will replace this board with probably some new intel chipset (of course without NF200 bridge which causes similar problems) and almost certainly say goodbye to Gigabyte.

bye :)

Well I am sorry that we didn't manage to get to the bottom of your problem but sometimes this is just the way it goes. I hate to be beateb but I can't think of anything else I'm afraid. :-\
