Think maybe I'm a bit young for those programmes Jannie.
Back then my Mum used to pack us children off to bed at 6.00 pm, except on a Saturday when we could stay up until 7.00 pm to watch Doctor Who.  :P

Yes Jannie and the TARDIS actually looked the part when it started in London much better than it has in most of it's locations since. I must admit I can't remember him in the Army Game.

Dr Who, Black & White TV, Saturday early evening hiding behind the sofa when the Daleks first appeared! William Hartnel has always been my favourite incarnation of the Doctor!

The Army Game was well before my time...... Just shows how old you really are Jannie!  :o

This has absolutely nothing to do with computers but....... I never got into Dr Who because........the tardus doesn't have a Gigabyte board, uses older star drive technology rather then USB drives and the sonic screw drivers don't work, ... I know I brought one!!! and finally Daleks ran on Barton  cores....that's why they use to spin around wildly and blew smoke.....

The heart of Monty python (Spike Milligan RIP) is still in the courts, ... his last request in his will was the inscription of "See I Told You I Was Sick" to be engraved on his tomb stone.....I hope he gets his request and proves to his family he was right

DM and runn3R.........I think it's high time Gigabyte produced a real s***ter of a board to give all these people something better to do !!!

Jannie......My grandad was born in Edinbrough in 1878.........did you know him?...never mind , put the kettle on , I'll be there by half 5.

absic!........DONT ....EVER....SAY ... ANYTHING!.....bad about bill and Ben ever again!.........My Bill and Ben paraphernalia collection just hit 713

Hey Allen, I have nothing bad to say about the original Bill and Ben puppets. My childhood was full of anticipation of them appearing on Watch With Mother.

I am however, a little less enamoured by the animated revamp which really does nothing to enhance the original but rather detracts from the innocence and naivety that was present with the puppets and their visible strings!

Now Spike Milligan, there was a comic genius. All other comedians just follow in his wake.

No  offence taken at all ...all just good clean fun and I agree...just goes to show ... computer generated animation is not totally backwards compatible

The strings were part of the overall effect......I struggle on a day to day bases to find content on the box for my two young wombats to watch that I feel comfortable with .........Now spike, fond memories sitting on my dads lap watching him laugh till he cried.....he was ahead of his time Spike.!.....How times change, the only two shows I watch now are House and NCIS.....Whats coming out of the BBC the last decade is just not worth the time!

Ni I agree. TV is going downlhill very rapidly and if you have even half a brain and want more than Britain's got Talent or some other worthless show where people are just making fools of themselves you are hard pressed to find it. I hardlyt watch the box any more and find the forum more entertaining! Certainly a better class of comedian on here.  ;D
