I stand correct and rest my case your honour!

P.S ....When will this Bull Doodles ever change........Seems everyone is jumping on the band wagon of " their Poms and use to paying more" how can people justify charging 46 to £50 for shipping from the US when I can send the same parcel back for 15............even Parcel Express wak on £17 if your parcel gets stopped by customs on top of what youve already paid :o

The trouble is it comes all the way from the top. It is the same with our fuel prices. Our own government attaches such a huge levy in taxes that even if the manufacturer's price is reasonable the retail price we have to pay will be extortionate.

But after all we are Brits and used to it!  :'( :'( :'(

Wow and I thought it was bad over here!    Well you guys just need to find someone that is a nice person over here that will send you stuff through the US Post Office.  Actually in Washington State where I live (Pacific coast) is one of the highest taxed states.  Our dear governor just tried to tax bottled water and got away with it for a while and candy and all sorts of things and our gas IS about the highest taxed in the states.  You guys probably have to pay more though but I just filled my tank the other day and it was about $50!

So it is because you are on an island that the prices are so high?  I am sorry to hear about your plight.  Well I volunteer if you ever want or need anything from over here but then there is that old trust thing.  I get most all of my computer parts from newegg.com. Do they send stuff overseas?  I should check that out but it would still be really high UPS shipping fees too right?  Still it is all relative in some ways.  I just paid $329.99 plus $10 shipping for that P67 Gigabyte motherboard i have and that is still a lot of money.  I guess it would be even more for you guys though.  I'll never complain about high prices again...   maybe...

Thanks for the offer of help WarYur but our government don't want to make it that easy to circumvent their rip offs! If we bring something into the country we have the shipping firstly and then there is VAT and import duty and probably other things I can't even remember as well. Screwed down hard!

$50  to fill your petrol tank! Thast is brilliant especailly considering the size of your tanks over there. M<ine costs me £100+ and only holds probably half what yours does. :'(

Holy gas tanks Batman!   :o  My Acura has a 16 gal tank but it probably had about 4 gal left in it when I filled it at Costco which has pretty much the cheapest gas around here.  Costco is a membership chain that you can buy usually bulk type items for a bit cheaper.  Not always bulk though and definitely not always cheaper but they have an awesome policy for taking things back when they die.   Hey, they even have cameras!  I would probably have a difficult time trying to convert myself to your system if I moved over there for a while which I more than likely won't but $2.50 a liter?  And you guys have 8 gallon gas tanks?   ???  I guess it would be kindof hard to go too awfully far anyway eh?  Are there ferries from the big island over to the mainland or is that not an option.  Of course the mainland for you would be another country though...

I can get on the service bases (ARMY, Navy, etc) around here due to a "injury" during the Vietnam whatever you want to call it so I get a 100% disability check and the benefit of being able to go on the bases which have no tax but even then they have jacked up their prices sometimes to match what it would cost for a taxed item (called AAFES).

I remember back (many moons ago...) when I was a small tyke and in the US we were having "gas wars" where there was a lot of competitiveness and one one side of the street the price of gas would be 13 cents and on the other side 15 cents but those days are LONG gone.

Hey we could all move down to where the prices are still 50 cents a gallon!   ::)    NOT!  I guess I should now count my blessings as far as the gas prices but we are still bitc*ing around about our prices and have some good senators trying to make the oil companies tell the truth when it comes to what the prices of oil are when it really comes down to it.  They create their own supply and demand stuff as you are probably well aware of and in reality we should more than likely all be paying the same prices for gas as the sandy countries way down below you on the map...

Yes cheaper than water over there!

Just imagine getting 50C worth and filling the tank!

Mind you if I had an AK47 in the car like most of them I could probably get it for the same price over here.

Yes I agree. They should at least post the details of the winner of the motherbboard just to show that everything is above board so to speak.
