GTX 560 TI OC still causing problems after RMA
« on: May 24, 2011, 11:56:19 am »
Hi just got my GTX 560ti OC back from RMA.
No corruption at boot anymore but gets into windows andhas graphic glitches and driver recovered error all the time before it freezes altogether
the report says reason for fault C03 component bad , 10ff 1-24800b-01R fuse 1206sfs800f/24 raychem my question is do they test the cards after repair as it seems that they cured one problem and left the rest.

I would have thought so but maybe they only look for the fixed problem. It certainly sounds like they repaired the original issue and then only made sure that it was working.

You flash card with bootable CD or bootable  usb stick. In that case, you dont start windows, just start small system that is capable of doing job ( flashing card) But since you dont have clue, it is hard to explain in few words

Yes I would have to agree with pepi there. It is hard to walk somebody through every step of the way. Maybe it woulkd be best if you took your card along to a local computer store and see if they can do it for a small fee.

Well it does sound faulty then. As I said earlier contact the address I gave you or try returning it to your retailer for an RMA.

Hi could it be these oc cards are not getting enough power ampage wise as the kfa2 has a 6pin pcie and a 8 pin pcie input rather than 2 6 pin pcie inputs and is rock steady even overclocked to 1000mhz just a thought

From the other cards that I have seen on the forum here that have failed it is normally down to the voltage setting and once sorted an even bigger  overclock can be made in a lot of cases. Once again it really boils down to the fact that no two cards/chips will behave the same and so trying to do a "standard" overclock across a whole batch of cards is bound to have problems.
