GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI - SAS Gen3 question
« on: April 16, 2013, 07:34:24 pm »
Hello, I have a GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI and noticed that when I enable SAS Gen3 in the bios, that in windows 2 new devices pop up in device manager, one is something called "Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset Multi-Function Glue - 1D76" which is using an Intel driver.

The second is called "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" and it has no driver, its Hardware ID is "VEN_8086&DEV_0000" so it seems like it is an Intel device, and Im assuming a virtual one. The chipset driver package doesn't seem to have anything for it though.

If I switch it to Gen1 or Gen2 both those devices vanish. Anyone have any experience with this and know what driver that should use? Maybe its not Identifying correctly with the driver and needs to have it manually selected?

This happens when Windows is Installed in both IRST and RSTe mode.

Thanks
