Is there going to be new bios for GTX 560 Ti OC?
« on: July 16, 2011, 12:07:56 am »
I am really fed up with this. Is there going to be new working bios for 560 Ti OC or not? I have F11 version but I must downclock it to use it WTF? I don't want to use any additional software, just my plain 250 euros Graphic Card. I see on newer cards there is F12 version. Why we can't download this version?

Thanks, I am waiting for you.
BTW I updated my BIOS to version F12 that gave me @npottle from this forum but the problem still exists. I checked the new bios and there is nothing changed. The voltage is same.

It would appear from your picture that you have a different GPU and that is probably why you are running a F3 BIOS. I have the F12 for anyone who wants to try it at their own risk.

As gigabyte said there are two versions of BIOS. One is From F1 to F8 and other from F9 to F18 or something like that. So Graphics caards wwith BIOS F1-F8, can't use F9-F19. There are always parallel versions released for example F3/F11, F4/F12 etc etc so you should be looking for F4 version.

Yes that's correct and it usually depends on the specific chip being used. It catches a lot of people out and they can't understand why the versions are different for their board.

Anyway there is software called NiBiTor.
It mods any bios. I modded my bios and returned the frequencies to the standard 822MHz and I have no problems anymore.
You can also change the voltage on the OC cards so it gets stable. This software is not official Gigabyte or other brand. It is 3th party software but it is very good.

I really don't understand why Gigabyte doesn't release this new BIOS with higer voltages?
We all know that the problem is the voltage. Or at least they should make official BIOS that can revers your graphics card to normal version, not overclocked.

I know man I am angry too but better have stable graphics card then crashing. I don't know what Gigabyte are thinking at this moment but they must do something about this. At least make downclocked bios or bios with higer voltages.

WTF Gigabyte?

If I could get my money back I would go for MSI. I'll try and ask mu dealer if he can return my money back.

I am sure that Gigabyte must know what is the cause of the problem by now but why they are dragging their heals and not supplying a new updated BIOS for download I don't know. Have all of you contacted them to make sure they are aware of the problem and the fix ? If not I would advise you to do so now. The more people complain the more notice they will take . Better than just moaning on the forum and saying you wish you had bought xyz card instead.

Would it be possible to create a new thread asking people to contact gigabyte on the http://ggts.gigabyte.com/ link and ask people to provide their information, the more gigabyte knows about the issue the easier it will make for them to solve it.

every company makes small mistakes i am not having  ago at them, no body is perfect but it would be nice to be able to play games without them crashing all the time when i paid extra money to get a factory overclocked card.
