6850 OC 1GB doesnt seem to startup

So, Recently i bought  a new comp i builted it but when i press the power button everything seems to work exept 6850.What should i do?The fans are not spinning and i get nothing on my screen.

Hi there,

have you checked the obvious things.
If your graphic card needs a separate power connector have you plugged it in?
This is either a 6 pin or 8 pin connector actually on the Graphics Card

Have you made the correct power connections to the motherboard?
This would be the 24 pin main ATX connector and either a 4 or 8 pin connector which is usually near the CPU socket.

If you could post back with your system specifications  (PSU, Motherboard, CPU, RAM etc.) it might help with troubleshooting further.

6850 needs 8 pin cable.The Psu has only one cable with 6 pins.Also an adapter came with mine gcard wich was 6 pin and the other side is 3 pin cable that connects TO the gpu wich of the two must i use?

By the sound of things you have a cheap and nasty PSU there and I would advise replacing it as soon as possible by a quality one. Seasonic, Corsair, Enermax or somthing like that and make sure that it is at least 650W to be safe.

I am not sure how to make the mobo connetions.How i must connect psu to them?

It is all in the manual and most connections will only fit in one place and the correct way around.

You haven't said which motherboard you have but don't worry, the review is for an AMD system but the connections are pretty much the same on all motherboards and graphic cards.

I got it to work i just hasnt pluggedd the 12v 8 pin cable to the mobo.Thank you all!
