Looks like someone forgot the golden rule. CHECK THE CPU SUPPORT LIST. Just because a processor is pin compatible doesn't mean it will work. In this case the list does not include the Phenom X4 9650, so unless there has been a BIOS update to include this chip its not going to work. Regardless of the processor or board, checking the list should be the FIRST thing to do before checking features, performance or possibly even price otherwise you can easily end up with a rig that won't boot.
