I have been running the F5c for a while and have tested all of the various BIOS releases so far.

The F5c improves access to BIOS when more than one HDD is attached to the AMD SATA ports in AHCI Mode especially when trying to enter BIOS via a reboot rather than cold start.

When using some externally powered PCI devices the system will start without external power being supplied. With F4 BIOS the system can go into continuous reboot cycle if no power is supplied to PCI card. I came across this because I use the M-Audio Delta1010 soundcard that has an external breakout box. If It isn't switched on prior to starting the PC with F4 BIOS the system just continually rebooted.

There are minor adjustments to other areas of the BIOS and the way some items are identified.

I haven't noticed any real changes to the way BIOS controls the voltage but I have been able to overclock to 4.2GHz with a 1090T whilst testing the board.

Yep now tested - absolutely no change or improvement with vdroop. Disappointing. Come on Gigabyte, get your act together.

The 990 chipset is designed with Zambezi in mind, not Deneb or Thuban. Just add some more voltage to counter the drop.

I will note that with the F5c, my time spent waiting at the splash screen is cut in half. (from 4-5 seconds to 2 seconds)
