GA-H67N-USB3-B3 Problems
« on: December 01, 2011, 07:21:38 am »
Hello everyone,

Soory for my English.
I have GA-H67N-USB3-B3 mother board and i have some problems, that i dont know how to solve.

1) I have problem to make my 5.1 channel speakers to work on the motherboard. i connected the speakers
and when i press the test sound button i get sound from all of them but when i play music i get sound only from
Front, Center and the Subwoofer. The Side speakers don't work.  :(
Someone said to disable in "Full-range Speakers" the Front left and Right option and Surround Speakers and still it didn't help.
Have to say i have another motherboard GA-X38-DQ6 with DTS, when i activate the DTS i get all speakers working.
But on this motherboard i don't have any DTS.

2) My screen get signal from HDMI port and its working perfect, but when i install the Intel Grafics drivers its starts from VGA only so i get
black screen without option to make my HDMI primary device.

Can someone please help me with this, i am very frustrated  :(
Thanks

Hi

In the Audio Manager make sure that you have side and rear speakers enabled to start with. Make all the speakers full range. Next make each speaker sound by clicking on it in turn rather than just hitting the PLAY (arrowhead) button. You will find that you have the jack min the wrong port at the rear of the machine I expect. You can then disable whichever speakers are not connected.

Thanks Dark Mantis for the answer!

I double checked everything again and found that i connected the side speakers to the Rear jack.
So i changed the Jack pressed on every speaker and i heard the test sound.
Then i pressed again on the play all speakers and i hear the sound from my Front / Side / Cen / Sub.
But when i start to play music with Foobar / Media Player / Winamp i hear sound only from Front / Cen / Sub
The side speakers don't play any sound at all.
So i read the motherboard manual again and found the Dolby Theater function on the Windows sound panel.
I checked the Dolby function on and i hearing a sound from my Side speakers bu the sound clear its very quiet and
not in a full range.
I even tried to set the speakers to 7.1 and still no sound on side or rear only front is playing.

Before this motherboard i used Asus with Atom CPU and i have never had so problem with sound, but now i stuck
and i don't know what to do. everything i tried didn't work so far.  :(
I even thought to buy Asus Sound Card to get same sound  :-\

I can upload print screen from the Sound Settings if it help!

It can't be anything very much or you wouldn't hear anything out of those speakers. Maybe it needs ballancing or something. Post a couple of pics of your settings pages.
